Dear Families and Staff,

Making Memories Child Care was founded by me, Denise Capri 6 years ago and began in my home where your child has always had opportunities to make a lifetime of wonderful memories. I was fortunate enough to be blessed by Father Joe Diaz, the Pastor at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in November of 2005 to expand with my sister in law Melissa Diez.  I am so glad that you had chosen Making Memories to play a vital role in your child's early education and development and giving us the honor to get to know each and everyone of you.

When you chose Making Memories you showed us that you understood the value of early childhood education.  The moments we have shared have had an impact on your children as well as myself and our family.  Throughout the facility you always found that our dedicated staff worked hard to promote a loving, educational atmosphere intended to make a positive difference in your child's life.  The goal has always been to expose your child to as many enrichment activities including, but not limited to The Cat In The Hat, and challenging opportunities as possible to help prepare them for the next stages of their development.  I personally would like to to thank ALL of the teachers that have worked at Making Memories throughout the years and the new staff that I hired before I resigned.

I have always understood that YOU, the parent, are your child's primary teacher.  I have always taken pride in establishing a strong parent partnership with every family enrolled in our center.  My 'open door policy' encouraged and welcomed parents to participate in their child's education.  With many of our families and staff coming from diverse cultural backgrounds, parent volunteer opportunities enabled us to further expand our curriculum and enrich the lives of every child in our care.  I have had the honor to get to know Ms. Amanda our then Volunteer Coordinator who always looked for the best interest of all children in helping to plan our family involvement activities.

Ms. Terry, our cook who has been at Making Memories longer then us has always provided homemade cooking and a loving flair that our children have so come accustomed too.  I truly do not know what we would have done without her.  Ms. Terry has been part of our recipe in guaranteeing that our children were provided with healthy, well planned, nutritious meals.

With all of this said, many of you might ask then why did Ms. Denise resign.  Others may say, Ms. Denise Who?  When  my sister in law moved on to take care of my most precious niece I stayed on to ensure that Making Memories Philosophy and Dream could continue.  I partnered with Mr. Larry Milov and Mr. Eddie Scriven and with their financial means we were able to expand the facility in adding a one year old room, with  Ms. Fran as our one/two year old coordinator and we also added a school age program with Ms. Cindy and Ms. D.  I brought the facility from 32 children and resigned with 92 children on roll.  Mr. Milov and Mr. Scriven have other ideas, visions and at the same moment I was given an opportunity to assist another school grow and reach their fullest potential and thought that this would be the right time to take it.

I am sorry for the abruptness of my departure and can assure you that it was the thought of the 'new corporation' that it would be best for all to make the change in that manner.  For anyone that would like to contact me or if anyone ever has a question or concern or just to say hello, I can be reached at 727/455-5509 or dcmemories1105@yahoo.com.

Thank you, again, for giving me the opportunity in making a difference in your child's life,  you all have made a difference in mine!

Denise Capri
